Style

Do I even have style? Is teacher style even a thing? (Definitely yes)
I never would have thought I’d be sharing my style tips, but here we are. I like to dress nice for school, but in a fun, approachable and comfortable way. I typically work out before school so I need easy go to products that are effortless, but make me look like I put in more effort than I really did. All my (not so secret) style secrets are below!

Makeup

I love playing around with makeup. I’m no pro. I don’t like to cake it on. For some reason I only typically wear chapstick on my lips. BUT I do get asked a lot about my mascara and favorite brands on Instagram so here goes.

But first….lemme take a selfie

I LOVE mascara. I have been pretty loyal to a few products but I don’t like it too heavy so I usually use one brand at a time. My current go to mascara is Thrive Causemetics Lash Extension. It goes on easy, lasts all day, and comes off well with a makeup wipe!

I typically find my new favorite make up products through Ipsy! I will TRY to start sharing my bags more here! However, if you don’t know what Ipsy is, it is deluxe/full size samples sent in a cute makeup bag to you each month for $12. You can upgrade to all full size products, but honestly I get some full size products in my $12 bag so it’s the right fit for me. I do suggest changing your preferences though-they take them seriously so the more I change it up the more variety I see. However for me mascara and hair products stay because…well…I’m obsessed.

Teacher Tees

I am a HUGE fan of the teacher tee and am ALWAYS on the lookout for a good one. I find they are comfy to teach in but can be dressed up a little with the right jacket, sweaters, shoes, and accessories. Positive messages are my personal go to shirts since we celebrate Positivi-TEE Tuesday (but more on the later.

I designed this tee and Wright Stuff Chics is making it for all of you!

I’ve provided a link to The Wright Stuff Chics. I love that their shirts are SO soft, accommodate all different sizes, they support teachers, and throw AWESOME sales. Plus they have some other cool stuff too! I DREAM one day they will take me on their cruise with them!-Hey a girl can dream right?

Stitch Fix

In my years in the classroom I have learned that teacher style is TOTALLY a thing. Also being in my twenties, I am balling on a budget finding clothes that I can wear to work, out with my friends, or babysitting my nieces and nephew on the weekend. Rather than shopping from store to store I just pass along all my preferences to my Stitch Fix stylist and let them do the work for me. My clothes come in and are my size, style, and in budget! (Thank God) I even let them style my bridal shower looks (Like in my picture of me)

The link I have attached gives you $25 towards your first fix and if you don’t like anything mail it back for free! I make requests for back to school outfits, field trip clothes, and even HELP MY ROOM IS 90˚ fixes! Every time they nail it.

When I am not teaching I love to spend time with my nieces and nephew (who I am obsessed with), I love to bake, draw, and go to concerts. Thanks for visiting!
